Ledtronics Hybrid Energy Company successfully delivered a high-performance hybrid power solution at Golden Valley Mine, located in Golden Mine Valley. The project combined the synchronization of a 6MW diesel genset plant with the integration of a 2MW solar PV system, creating a reliable, efficient and cost-effective energy infrastructure tailored for mining operations.
Mining operations demand uninterrupted and stable power to maintain productivity, safety and equipment longevity. Ledtronics engineered a hybrid energy system designed to reduce fuel consumption, lower operational costs and minimize environmental impact, while maintaining the robust reliability required in heavy industrial environments.
The project involved full engineering, supply, installation, testing and commissioning of a 6MW generator synchronization system alongside a 2MW solar power plant. The genset synchronization ensures seamless load sharing, optimized fuel efficiency and improved redundancy, while the solar plant offsets daytime energy demand and significantly reduces diesel dependency.
Through intelligent control systems and hybrid integration technology, the solar PV plant operates in harmony with the diesel generators, automatically balancing loads and prioritizing solar generation when available. This hybrid configuration enhances system stability, reduces carbon emissions and extends generator lifespan.
This project demonstrates Ledtronics’ capability to deliver scalable hybrid energy solutions for mining and industrial sectors, combining renewable energy innovation with dependable thermal generation systems to ensure maximum performance and sustainability.
